Box Score ELIZABETH CITY, NC- The Chowan University men's basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 109-52 win over Mid-Atlantic Christian University.  The Hawks improve to 6-3 on the year with the victory while the Mustangs slide to 1-10 on the season. 

Seven Chowan players scored double-digit points in the win, led by Trevis Buckhanon with 16 points.  Carlos Arroyo notched 15 points while Marco Haskins and Josh Mellette both added 14 points apiece.  Joe Goodwin followed with 13 points with Warren Powers and Kortez Smith both adding 10 points for the Hawks in the victory.  Buckhanon also grabbed 10 rebounds (two offensive, eight defensive) in the contest while Powers followed with nine rebounds  (seven offensive, two defensive).

Angus Spencer netted a game-high 18 points followed by Zach Camporese with 17 points for the Mustangs. 

Haskins opened the contest with a three-pointer for the Hawks.  Mid-Atlantic Christian stayed close on Chowan's heels for the majority of the first half before Goodwin hit a layup at the 8:16 mark to give the Hawks a ten point lead (27-17).  The Hawks maintained a firm grip on the momentum for the remainder of the half and carried a 49-20 lead heading into halftime. 

Chowan dominated the second half and outscored Mid-Atlantic Christian 60-32 after halftime to earn the 109-52 win.  The Hawks scored 42 points in the paint in the second half with Chowan's bench accounting for 37 points.  

Chowan returns to action on December 15^th when the Hawks open CIAA play with a road contest against Fayetteville State University.  Tip-off is slated for 7:30pm.
