Box Score SALEM, VA- The Chowan University softball team dropped a pair of nonconference games on Friday afternoon in Salem, VA.  The Hawks fell 4-0 to Mansfield University to start out the day and dropped a 3-0 decision against Seton Hill University.
 
Chowan mustered three hits over the course of the afternoon.  Liz Hipple tallied two base hits on the day and was the lone Hawk to garner a hit against Mansfield.  Tori Cragan notched a hit of her own against Seton Hill. 
 
Courtney Groce went the distance for the Hawks on the mound in game one.  She surrendered four runs (two earned) while Alora Lincoln suffered the loss in the second game. 
 
The Hawks return to action on Saturday when they take on West Liberty at 1:00pm and Millersville at 3:00pm
