SUNSET BEACH, NC- The Chowan University men's golf team completed the second and final round of play at the Myrtle Beach Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The Hawks finished in 18^th place out of the 19 teams that competed in the tournament.

Wingate University earned with a team score of 283 on Tuesday while Mars Hill College posted a score of 284. Mars Hill's two-day total of 573 resulted in a first place finish for the Lions, while the Bulldogs followed close behind with a two-day score of 574.

After turning in a team score of 313 on Monday, the Hawks earned a team score of 311 on Tuesday for a two-day total of 624. Jordan Francis shaved six strokes off his first round score (78), and carded a team-low of 72 on Tuesday. He finished tied for 44^th in the 98-player field. Freshman Rich Edwards turned in a score of 73 on the second day of play, a three stroke improvement from his first round score (76). Edwards finished tied for 48^th overall.

Billy Britton shot a 78 on Tuesday afternoon followed by Ryan Baker who carded an 88. Britton ended the tournament tied for 76^th place while Baker earned a 93^rd place finish.
The Hawks return to action on October 12^th when they compete in the Trojan Fall Classic hosted by Virginia State University.
