Mountain Cats Edge Chowan

Box Score JOHNSTOWN, PA- The Chowan University men's soccer team held the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown scoreless until the 68 minute of play before dropping a 1-0 decision to the Mountain Cats on Saturday evening.  The Hawks tallied three shots on goal in the contest in comparison to nine from Pitt-Johnstown.  In the tightly matched contest, one goal would be all the Mountain Cats would need to walk away with the win.
 
Paul Kamara had two of the three shots on goal for the Hawks, with Ulysses Bates earning the third.   Jax Eddleman made eight saves in goal for Chowan. 
 
Colin Michalski's goal for Pitt-Johnstown came off a cross from Steve Marsh in the second half with twelve minutes left in the game.  The Hawks were unable to respond with a goal of their own. 
 
The Mountain Cats move to 2-3 on the season while the Hawks slip to 0-4.  Chowan will take the pitch again on Sunday in a 1:00pm match-up against Seton Hill University.
