Box Score MURFREESBORO - The Chowan University women's lacrosse team fell 18-4 to Davenport University on Friday afternoon. The Hawks, who now fall to 0-4 on the year, got behind early in the match and couldn't overcome Davenport's explosive 10-goal first period. Kamile Smith scored two goals for Chowan in the loss. 

Davenport University jumped out to an early lead after scoring 10 unanswered goals in the first period. Chowan bounced back in the second half and held the Panthers to nine shots while getting off nine shots of their own. Chowan got two scores from Kamile Smith while teammates Mackenzie Reid and Adriea Herndon each added a score. 

Haley Haggard had seven saves in goal after facing 25 shots. 

Chowan falls to 0-4 on the year after today's loss while Davenport improves to 3-1 on the year. The Hawks will host Young Harris College on March 5th. Match time is set for 1:00pm at Hawks Field.
