Box Score MURFREESBORO, NC- The Chowan University men's soccer team suffered a 7-0 loss to Pfeiffer University on Wednesday afternoon.  The Falcons tallied 15 shots on goal in comparison to one shot on goal for the Hawks.   
 
Pfeiffer got on the board within the first minute of play after Chandler Ligas scored off a rebound from Paco Cortez Vazquez's cross.  The Hawks held off the Falcons until the 18^th minute of play when Simon Leslie scored an unassisted goal from 25 yards out to give Pfeiffer a 2-0 lead.
 
Nathan Regis added a score in the 23^rd minute when he found the back of the net with a goal into the near post off Aldo Ramirez's assist.  Luke Janes put Pfeiffer ahead 4-0 seven minutes later when he headed Ramirez'a corner kick into the near post.  
 
Seth Daley added a fifth score for the Falcons four minutes before halftime when he sent in Regis' cross into the far post. 
 
Pfeiffer used Kyler Toler's goal in the 55^th minute of play to take a 6-0 lead, and moved ahead 7-0 when Chandler Ligas scored an unassisted goal in the 62^nd minute of the contest.  
 
Play concluded in the 72^nd minute of play due to inclement weather.  The Hawks fall to 0-9 on the year after Wednesday's loss while Pfeiffer improves to 4-6-1.  Chowan will take the pitch again on October 13^th when they travel to Greensboro, NC to take on Guilford College.  Game time is slated for 1:00pm.
