Box Score BELMONT, NC- The Chowan University men's soccer team fell to 1-12 on the season after a 3-0 loss to Belmont Abbey on Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders improve to 5-9 with the win. The Hawks were outshot 39-5 in the contest. Chowan and Belmont Abbey battled through a scoreless first half before the Crusader's came alive with three goals after halftime.
A Hawk foul in the 61
st minute of play led to Belmont Abbey's first scoring opportunity. Conor Wells found the back of the net on a penalty kick to give the Crusaders a 1-0 lead. Wells added a second score for Belmont Abbey in the 73
rd minute with an unassisted goal into an open net.
Two minutes later, David De Los Reyes used a deflection to add a third score for the Crusaders.

Jax Eddleman combined for 10 saves in the loss.
The Hawks return to Murfreesboro for their final games of the season. They host Barton College on October 30
th in a 3:30pm contest before concluding their season in a 2:00pm game against Bon Jones University on November 2
