Box Score MURFREESBORO - The Chowan University softball team picked up two CIAA North Division wins on Saturday after beating  Lincoln University (PA) 9-1 and 13-0. Chowan improved to 21-24 overall and 12-2 in the CIAA. They remain perfect in the the division at 8-0. The Hawks honored seniors Alex Allen, Megan Bass, and Allie Kolezynski in between games. 


Kolezynski pitched a three-hitter to get her 9th win of the season. She fanned five in five innings of work. Liz Hipple was perfect at the plate for Chowan. She finished the game 3-3 with three runs scored and five RBI. She garnered her fifth triple of the season. Lacey Wildeboer also went 3-3 at the plate and knocked in three runs. 

Alora Lincoln was one hit shy of a no-hitter in the 13-0 second game win. The Hawks pounded out 18 hits in the win with seven players getting multiple hits. Kolezynski, Leigh Ward, and Megan Wade each had three hits in the win. Hipple knocked in three runs and gained her sixth triple of the season. 

The Hawks will wrap up the regular season on Sunday with a CIAA North Division doubleheader against Bowie State University.
