Chowan responded, though, with a 9-0 run of their own, bringing the deficit back within one at 24-23. The Lady Lions open a seven point lead with just under four minutes to play, but Chowan scored seven of the final eight points of the half to head into halftime leading 35-34.

The Lady Lions again opened a six point lead, but Chowan responded by tying the game back up with 2:51 on the clock. Jennings gave Chowan a 67-66 lead with two free throws with 58 seconds remaining, but Lincoln took the lead late and held on thanks to Williams' heroics.
