Jerry Fairley layup with 5:29 remaining on the clock. Neither team could pull away at the end of the half, and the score was knotted at 30 going into intermission.

Anton Shoetan three pointer brought Chowan back within seven to halt the Lion rally.
After Lincoln built up a 14 point lead at the 9:42 mark of the half, Chowan scored their next six points in the paint and cut the Lion lead to eight with 7:54 left. Lincoln proved to have too much firepower down the stretch, though, as they hit 15 of 18 free throws over the final seven minutes of the game, sealing the home victory.
Lincoln was led by Eugene Smith, who notched team highs with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Smith was extremely efficient as well, shooting 9-11 from the floor and 6-7 from the free throw line.
Chowan (1-15, 0-8 CIAA, 0-2 North) travels to Elizabeth City for a matchup against the rival Vikings on Thursday night. Tipoff is set for 7:30pm. Next on the slate for Lincoln is a Thursday night tilt with Bowie State University in Bowie, MD. Tipoff is set for 7:30pm.
