Box Score PETERSBURG, VA - The Chowan University softball team advanced to the CIAA Softball Semi-Finals after winning game two of today's bracket play over Virginia State University. Chowan won with a final game score of 11-1. The win sets up a battle of the best from each division as they will face off against #1 from the East Division, Bowie State University. The Hawks handled #4 from the East Division, Elizabeth City State, earlier in the day with a 12-0 shut out victory.

The Hawks scored nine runs in the bottom of the 4th inning to help solidify the win. Allie Kolezynski pitched the win, giving up seven hits and one run. She also was 2-3 at the plate. Kaytee McLaughlin was 2-2 with three RBI and Fahren Munro was 1-3 with two runs scored and a triple. 

The Hawks face off against Bowie State on the campus of Virginia State University at 12:30pm on Friday afternoon.
