Box Score RALEIGH, NC - The softball team improved to 8-15 overall and 3-0 in the CIAA after blowing by Lincoln University 22-0 in first day play at the 2010 CIAA Softball Round Up. The Hawks were leading Bowie State University 4-1 in the top of the 4th inning when rain suspended play. They will pick up play where they left off tomorrow morning at Walnut Creek Softball Complex.

Chowan pounded out 13 hits en route to a 22-0 shut out win over Lincoln University to open play. Allie Kolezynski was 3-4 at the plate with two RBI and two runs scored. She picked her up first win of the season on the mound after throwing a two-hit, shut out and striking out ten Lady Lion batters. Tricia Gorman perfect at the plate at 2-2 with two runs scored. 

The Hawks and the Lady Bulldogs will pick up play in the top of the 4th inning tomorrow at 12:00pm at Walnut Creek Softball Complex. Due to changing weather conditions the tournament schedule has changed. Check back for udpates on schedule changes.
