Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Chowan men's basketball team maintained their second place spot in the CIAA West after beating Fayetteville State 75-59 tonight. Four out of five Chowan starters scored in double figures, led by Lando Morrison with a game-high 22 points. The Hawks opened the game with a 17-2 run and rolled to the sixteen point win. The Hawks improve to 14-7 overall, 10-5 in the CIAA, and 3-2 in the division after tonight's win. 

The Hawks, who have struggled from the floor the last two games, came out on fire tonight. They hit for 54% (25-46) on the night. Charles Rhodes was 3-6 from beyond the three point arch and finished up with 17 points, three assists, and five rebounds. Mark Brown also scored 17 in the win. Jaleel Nelson had 12 points and five assists. 

The Hawks will host Johnson C. Smith University on Thursday night at 7:00pm in their next outing. The Golden Bulls sit in 3rd place at 3-3 in the division.
