Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MURFREESBORO - The softball team was swept in second day of the USC-Aiken Early Bird Classic today with losses to Francis Marion University and #2 North Georgia State College and University. The Hawks came into today's play at 1-2 with a win over Seton Hill yesterday and left today with 9-1 and 8-2 losses to FMU and NGSCU. 

The Hawks dropped their opening day game 9-1 to Francis Marion and were held to two hits. Allie Kolezynski and Megan Bass got one each loss. Kolezynski picked up the loss on the mound in the game after pitching six innings and giving up ten hits. 

Chowan faced off against the #2 ranked team in the nation, North Georgia State College and University, and fell 8-2. Jessica Farmer picked up the loss on the mound and Alex Allen picked up the Hawks only hit of the game. 

The Hawks, now 1-4, will host Mercyhurst College in a doubleheader on Friday. First pitch is slated for 2:00pm.
