Box Score RALEIGH, NC - Tonight's men's basketball game at Saint Augustine's College featured the CIAA West Divisions top two teams, a battle of the best in the west. But after putting up nearly 50% from the floor and holding the Hawks to 31% shooting tonight, the Falcons came away with the 74-50 win. The Falcons take sole possession of first place in the West Division after tonight's game. Chowan moves to 13-6 overall, 9-4 in the CIAA, and 2-1 in the West after tonight's game. 

The Hawks got 19 points from Mark Brown and 13 points from Jaleel Nelson but Chowan struggled from the floor. The Hawks went into the game hitting 44% from the field, but were held tonight to 31% from the floor. They hit just 14-45 shots, including 8-29 from beyond the three point arch. 

Saint Augustine's College hit for 49% (31-63) and outrebounded Chowan 44 to 24 in the game. Chris Jordan paced the Falcons with 19 points. SAC moves to 17-3 overall, 11-2 in the CIAA, and 3-0 in the West. 

The Hawks will continue with CIAA divisional play this weekend as they host Shaw University in a 4:00pm match up.
