Box Score 2 PEMBROKE, NC - The softball team dropped a twinbill set at UNC-Pembroke this afternoon, falling with scores of 11-4 and 15-2. The Hawks were held to just seven hits over two games and fall to 3-7 on the season.
Allie Kolezynski picked up the loss on the mound in the first game after giving up six runs through two innings.
Christie Wright came in for relief of Kolezynski to toss the final four innings. She struck out two batters and gave up five runs on four hits.
Tricia Gorman was 2-3 at the plate while Kaytee McLaughlin and
Brooke Owen had one hit and an RBI apiece.
The Hawks dropped the nightcap game 15-2 and were held to one hit over five innings. Gorman doubled in the game and was credited with two RBI to account for Chowan's runs. Jessica Farmer picked up the loss on the mound after giving up 12 runs on seven hits.
Lacey Wildeboer came in for relief of Farmer, throwing the final 2.1 innings of the game.
Chowan (3-7) will take the week off before heading into a tough weekend at home. They will host Shepherd University on Saturday, February 27th and Bloomsburg College on Sunday.
