Box Score RALEIGH, NC - The men's basketball team rolled to a 84-73 season finale win over Shaw University in CIAA basketball action tonight. The Hawks were on fire from the floor tonight, hitting 63% (29-46) from the floor, including 8-11 from three point land. Four Chowan players scored in double figures with Mark Brown and Lando Morrison posting 46 points between them. 

Chowan jumped out to an early lead and cruised in the win. They improve to 17-9 overall, 13-7 in CIAA play, and 6-4 in divisional play. The Hawks wrapped up the regular season in a tie for second in the CIAA West after being picked 6th in the preseason polls. 

Lando Morrison posted a game-high 24 points while Mark Brown scored 22 points and was 4-4 from beyond the three point arch. Jaleel Nelson scored his season average, 18 points, and Charles Rhodes scored 10 points and dished out five assists. 

Shaw ends the year at 14-13 overall, 11-9 in the CIAA, and 4-6 in the CIAA West. 

The CIAA Tournament will begin Wednesday for the men. Seedings and brackets will be released on Sunday afternoon.
