RUTHERFORD, NJ - The Chowan University women' s basketball team fell to Felician College 67-57 in non-conference action this evening. Felician took a narrow six point lead into the halftime period after chipping away at a one-time ten point first half time by the Hawks. They went on to hold off the Hawks for the 67-57 win. Chowan falls to 2-5 on the year while Felician improves to 7-3 overall. Chowan had two players in double figures, led by
Ransheda Jennings who posted 17 points. Chowan will take off for the Christmas break and return to action on the court on December 30th with a road trip to Bluefield State College.
Chowan shot 34% from the floor in the game after hitting 19-56 shots.
Talaya Lynch made good on four three pointers in the game and came away with 15 points. She also had seven rebounds in the game.
Brittany Nicholson and
Najah Harris had eight points each in the game.
