GLENVILLE, WV - The Chowan University volleyball team split play at a trimatch with Glenville State University and Seton Hill University. The Hawks dropped their first match of the day 3-2 to Seton Hill but bounced back to beat Glenville State 3-1. Chowan moves to 12-7 after today's nonconference split.
Chowan fell to Seton Hill with set scores of 18-25, 30-28, 25-21, 17-25, and 11-15.
Victoria Lewis paced Chowan with 17 kills and
Karina Monroe came in with 14 kills in the match.
Callie Armistead had 41 assists and
Tara Thomalla had 20 digs.
The Hawks bounced back with a 3-1 win over host team Glenville State in the second match of the day. They won with set scores of 25-19, 25-9, 24-26, and 25-20. Monroe posted 13 kills and
Antoinette McCollough had 11 kills.
Chowan will continue with their nonconference play with an October 5th match at Barton College.
