Box Score DURHAM, NC - Ten different Hawks scored in a 83-58 win over Newport News Apprentice School in the first day of play at the North Carolina Central University/BC Powder Classic. The Hawks hit 51% from the floor, including 7-14 from three point land as they rolled to the 25 point victory. Senior Jaleel Nelson continues to play with dominance for Chowan, pouring in a game-high 25 points. The Hawks improve to 9-4 overall after tonight's win. 
Joining Nelson in double figures was 
Lando Morrison who had 14 points to go with six rebounds. 
Charles Rhodes scored 10 points in the win. Chowan burned up the nets, hitting 29-57 shots taken in the game and was an impressive 7-14 from beyond the three point arch. Nelson also posted four steals and four assists. 
The Hawks will play Tennessee Temple tomorrow in second day play of the classic. The game will be broadcast online @
