LINCOLN, PA - After dropping the first leg of their two-game road trip to Bowie State on Saturday, the women's basketball team bounced back with a 69-59 win over Lincoln University. Tonight's win improves the team to 7-7 on the year. The Hawks put three players in double figures and shot nearly 50% from the field to pick up the win.
The Hawks trailed 35-30 at the half but a strong second half shooting performance helped lift them to the win.
Talaya Lynch paced Chowan with 16 points and five rebounds.
Ransheda Jennings had a solid night with 12 points, six assists, three rebounds, two blocks, and two steals while
Najah Harris chipped in 10 points.
Chowan (7-7, 4-5) will take a ten day break from the court before returning to the Helms Center on January 21st to host Fayetteville State University in a CIAA Western Division match up.
