MURFREESBORO - The men's soccer team ended a 35 game losing streak after beating Lincoln University 5-0 at the "Just For Kicks Classic" this afternoon. The Hawks tallied 43 shots in the match and held Lincoln to 12 total shots. Five different Hawks scored goals in the shut out victory. 

Chinedu Iuwora got Chowan on the board first when he took a Chris Riveros rebounded shot far post in the 28th minute. After taking a 1-0 lead into halftime, the Hawks scored in under a minute to start the second half. Brandon Chambers nailed a goal from about 20 yards out to give Chowan a 2-0 lead. Riveros scored a goal of his own in the 70th minute to put Chowan up 3-0. Ali Abdi scored an unassisted goal from the top of the box in the 72nd minute for a 4-0 Chowan lead. Raimond Kwartneng added Chowan's final goal off a rebounded shot sent in by Biez Neto. 

Josh Cenci got the win in goal for the Hawks. He gained the shut out and had five stops in the match. 

The Hawks will host Washington Adventist University on Monday at 4:00pm in the final day play of the "Just for Kicks Classic".
