Box Score RICHMOND - Despite Nate Walchuk's season high 26 points, the Hawks fell 69-67 in a tough battle at Virginia Union University. The game featured seven ties and 12 lead changes but it was the Panthers who would edge the Hawks in tonight's CIAA duel. Tonight's loss moves Chowan to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the league. Walchuk kept the game close over the final minute of the game, hitting a jumper and a three pointer on back-to-back posessions but the Panthers took advantage of their free shots from the charity stripe to take the win. 

Chowan shot 44% from the floor (23-52) and 8-24 from beyond the three point arch. Walchuk scored 18 of his 26 points from three point land tonight. Jaleel Nelson had 14 points and five assists while Lando Morrison had 10 points and 5 rebounds. 

The Hawks will take off for final exams before hitting the court again next Wednesday. They will travel to Virginia State University for a 7:30pm tip off in Ettrick.
