MURFREESBORO - The volleyball team fell in straight games to Virginia Wesleyan College this evening, dropping them to 3-15 on the season. The Hawks lost with final game scores of 30-18, 30-10, and 30-9. The visiting Marlins out hit Chowan 48 to 11 in the match while also collecting 23 team service aces. 

Jennetta Howard, Jazmim Orozco, and Christina Johnson collected 3 kills respectively in the match. Jenny Baugham and Johnson had 7 kills while Orozco collected a team-high 4 service aces. 

Chowan has three matches remaining on their 2006 schedule. They will travel to St. Paul's College tomorrow for a 6:00pm match and return to the Helms Center Friday for a 6:00pm match with Elizabeth City State University. They close out the season at home on Tuesday, October 31st with the University of the District of Columbia at 6:00pm.
