WINCHESTER, VA - Playing in close to freezing weather against Shenandoah University, the men's soccer team was shut out 2-0, dropping them to 1-13-1 on the year.
The Hawks were out shot in the match 28 to 3 while freshman keeper Josh Cenci tallied 14 saves. Shenandoah scored at the 23:01 mark to take a 1-0 lead into the second period. They added their second goal of the game in the 53rd minute to take the eventual 2-0 win over the visiting Hawks.
Shenandoah improved to 2-10-2 on the year after the win. Chowan will travel to Averett on Thursday for a 3:00pm match to close out their 2006 regular season.
