Volleyball Drops Two at Peace Tri-Match

RALEIGH, NC – The volleyball team lost their first two matches of the season at the Peace College Tri-Match.

The Braves faced off against Peace College in their first match, falling in three straight games 30-21, 30-15, 30-17. Freshman Dana Barret (Zuni, VA) and sophomore Keyon Sellers (Effingham, SC) combined for 5 kills, 5 service aces and 10 digs in the loss.

In the last match Meredith College swept Chowan in three straight games 30-17, 30-23, 30-18. Senior Rebecca Mainquist (Louisburg, NC) tallied 15 assists while Sellers had 7 kills along with 9 digs. The Braves fell to 0-2 and will open up at home on Monday, September 5th at 8:00pm against Roanoke Bible College.
