MURFREESBORO - The Braves took a hit on the chin this weekend, going 1-3 over four games, all conference games. The Braves faced off against Averett College on Friday afternoon. In game one, Averett got the 3-0 win.
Kelly Eisner got the loss after giving up 8 hits over 6 innings.
Tiffany Cunin was 2-4 with a stolen base.
Kelly Hartzog was 2-4 in the loss. In game two, the Braves jumped out to a 2-0 lead, until the Cougars scored 9 runs in the first inning to take it back. The final score of the games was 14-5.
Ashley Wilson got the loss after pitching 4 innings and giving up 13 hits. Meryah Breeden was 2-3 with 2 doubles. Cunin was 1-3 with a double. The Braves traveled to Greensboro on Saturday to play DIAC member Greensboro College. The Braves won the first game 18-2. Eisner got her 9th win of the season, scattering 5 hits over 5 innings.
Kelly Hartzog was 4-5 with 3 runs scored and 2 doubles.

Caroline Harlow, and Chrisite Herrick were all 3-4 in the game. Game two would not be as good for the Braves as they lost 5-4 in the bottom of the 7th. The Braves could not capitalize with runners in scoring position and were held to 6 hits, while Wilson gave up 13 in the game. Wilson suffered another loss, which brings her to 5-6 on the season.
