MURFREESBORO - The Braves moved to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the Dixie on the season after splitting a conference double-header this afternoon. The Braves lost the first game 7-3 but battled back to take the second game 2-1. In the first game
Kelly Eisner (2-1) got the loss after going 7 innings and giving up 11 hits.
Kelly Hartzog was 4-4 on the day while Meryah Breeden and
Liz Marshall each were 2-4. The second game was all notched up at 1 until the 6th when with bases loaded,
Caroline Harlow singled to score and make the game 2-1. Ashley Wislon (1-0) picked up her first win of the season after a stellar performance on the mound. Wilson scattered 3 hits over 7 innings, walking 2 batters and striking out 1. Harlow was 2-3 with 1 RBI while Hartzog and Breeden each had 1 hit.
Amanda Murray and
Tiffany Cunin each added one hit in the win. The Braves travel to Va Beach to play in the Va Wesleyan Softball Tournament this weekend and are back at home on Sunday for another Dixie game against Shenandoah.
