Braves Drop Second Game In A Row

MURFREESBORO - The Braves fell to 3-4 on the season after dropping their second consecutive game to the Apprentice School in basketball action this evening. The Braves had a hard time finding the hoop early in the first half as they missed their first 13 shots in a row. The Braves rallied late in the first half to pull within two at the half behind the play of point guard Anthony Jones. The Builders took the lead in the second half and would not give it up for the remainder of the game. The Braves pulled with 5 with 4:45 to go in the game after going to a full court press and creating some turnovers but could not stop the offensive attack of the Builders in the long run as they Braves lost with a final score of 53-63. Point Guard Anthony Jones had 15 points, 5 steals, and 3 assists while Dejuan Green had 10 points and 4 steals. The Braves play home again on Friday in the opening round of the Fourth Annual Chowan College Shoot-Out. The Braves will take on Lycoming College (6-1) at 6:30pm. Wesley and Virginia Wesleyan will follow at 8:00pm while the consolation and championship games are a 1:00 and 3:00pm respectively on Saturday.
