Box Score MURFREESBORO - The Braves fell to 2-3 on the season after losing to Southern Virginia College 70-78 in women's basketball action this evening. The Braves shot 50% from the floor in the game and were 12-19 from beyond the three-point arch. The Braves were plagued by turnovers as they amassed 29 in the game, leading to their defeat. Tied at the half 29-29, the Braves came out in the second and nailed two three-pointers in a row to take the lead and gain momentum. Both teams traded baskets for much of the second half but Braves turnovers and second chance points lead Southern Virginia to a victory.
Amanda Murray paced the Braves with 21 points and was 5-8 from three-point land. Candice Fleming had 9 points and 8 rebounds in the loss while point guard Erin Ward had 11 assists and two steals.
