Chowan College senior forward Phil Adams (Pasadena, CA/John Muir HS) scored three goals in his final home game, but the Braves (0-11) fell in overtime as Ray King scored on a penalty kick to give Guilford a 4-3 win.

Adams took eleven shots and scored his first when Richard Tacaraya found him alone near the post where he pushed it past the keeper for his first goal of the season. Adams added another when Guilford keeper Adrian Sperka gave it away in the box and he booted it home to knot the game at 2-2. Owen Finberg and Victor Cardenas each scored a goal for the Quakers, while King tallied two. Braves keeper Greg Andrews made 15 saves, while Sperka made nine for Guilford.
