MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Sean Daniels enters his first season as an Assistant Coach for the Chowan University Women's Basketball program. With experience at the NCAA Division II, Division III, and NAIA levels, Daniels brings a wealth of knowledge in recruiting, player development, and defensive coaching to the Hawks.

"We're excited to welcome Sean to Chowan University and look forward to the positive influence he will have on our student-athletes, program, and campus community," said Lenise Frazier, Head Women's Basketball Coach.

Daniels comes to Chowan after most recently serving as the Women's Basketball Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Bemidji State University. During his three seasons with the Beavers, he helped develop one of the conference's top defensive teams, highlighted by a top-50 national ranking in steals during the 2023-24 season and continued improvements in perimeter defense. He also helped improve the team's three-point percentage over the course of his tenure.

Prior to Bemidji State, Daniels spent one season at Eastern Nazarene College as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach, where he oversaw recruiting, player development, and the team's defensive game plan. He helped guide the Lions to a second-place conference finish while coaching All-Defensive Team selection Levi White and All-Conference player Bernie McGuinness.

Daniels also spent the 2021-22 season at Graceland University, where he assisted with recruiting and player development, helping mentor All-Conference standouts CJ Wilson and Seth Compas.

Before his time at Graceland, Daniels served as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at Kentucky Christian University. During his two seasons with the Knights, he helped lead the program to back-to-back conference playoff appearances while recruiting and developing three All-Conference selections, two All-Defensive Team honorees, and the conference's Defensive Player of the Year.

"Sean Daniels is a proven leader whose impact extends far beyond the court," said Frazier. "His 10 years of experience, commitment to player development, and ability to build meaningful relationships make him an outstanding addition to our staff."

Daniels earned his bachelor's degree in Sports Administration and Business Communication in 2017 from Finlandia University in Hancock, Michigan. His commitment to developing student-athletes and building successful programs makes him a valuable addition to the Chowan Women's Basketball coaching staff.
