MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan University men's and women's tennis teams faced conference opponent the University of Mount Olive on Tuesday afternoon. The women picked up a doubles win at the #3 position along with a singles victory at #2, while the men earned a singles win of their own in the #2 spot.

Women
Marcia Aragon and Janna Lerma teamed up at #1 doubles, while Feidi Abreu Rodriguez and Victoria Videla competed at #2. Aime Vera and Felicitas Grillo secured a 6-3 win at #3 doubles to round out doubles play.
In singles action, Aragon played at #1, while Rodriguez competed at #2, battling through three sets to earn a 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 victory. Grillo competed at #3, Vera at #4, Lerma at #5—pushing her match to three sets—and Videla at #6, where her match also went to a third-set tiebreak in favor of UMO.
Men
Marcel Ungerboeck and Tadeo Missan teamed up at #1 doubles, while Thales Sette and Tadeo Sanchez played at #2. David De Simon and Maksim Kachuk rounded out #3 doubles, with the Trojans earning the point.
In singles, Ungerboeck battled at #1, pushing his match to three sets with a tiebreak in the second. Sette competed at #2 and picked up the win after a tightly contested match, taking the first set 7-6, dropping the second 2-6, and winning the third 7-5. De Simon played #3, Terumasa at #4, Missan at #5, and Kachuk at #6.
