MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Conference Carolinas office announced its Week 15 Women's Basketball Players of the Week on Monday afternoon, with Chowan University earning recognition following the Hawks' two contests last week.

Nyeisha Savage earned both Offensive Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week honors following a standout performance that helped the Hawks to a pair of victories that closed out the regular season.

Savage closed the regular season with a pair of 20-point outbursts for Chowan. She averaged 24.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game while adding nine blocks and shooting 68.6 percent from the floor. She scored 28 points on 14-for-18 shooting and added five rebounds, one steal and two blocks in a win over Converse. Savage then tallied 20 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks in a win over UNC Pembroke.

Savage's dominant play will be a major factor as the Hawks focus is shifted to postseason competition in the 2025–2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball Championship.
