WILSON, N.C. - The Chowan University women's flag football team got back to action on Wednesday night with a road trip over to Barton College. The Hawks and the Bulldogs matched up for a double header with the Bulldogs pulling out two wins over the Hawks.

Navaeh Higdon paced the Hawks offensively with 83 ground yards on 9 carries and 52 passing yards on 14 completions in game one. Adriana Lightfoot caught 8 passes for 43 yards in the game. Lightfoot also recorded a team-high 16 solo tackles. Janaya Perry picked up 5 tackles and Kiara Arguello, Zyian Heyligar, and Kiara Lopez each recorded 3 tackles. Dusabe Uwera recorded a tackle for a loss in the game with a sack.
Barton scored 32 points in the first quarter to open play in the second game of the night. Higdon paced the Hawks with 77 yards passing and 40 yards rushing. She completed 15 passes in the game. Janaya Perry caught 5 passes for 24 yards while Lightfoot caught 4 passes for 24 yards.
Lightfoot also recorded 8 tackles. Perry picked up six tackles for the Hawks.
