MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University women's volleyball team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday afternoon as the Hawks welcomed Ferrum College to Bob Burke Court for their final home match of the regular season. Chowan battled the Panthers through five sets, taking the first and third sets before Ferrum rallied to claim the match, 3-2.
The afternoon also marked a celebration of five Hawks seniors: Malyshia Bailey, Gabriella Figueroa, Madison Henderson, Anna Holcombe, and Alauna Wilson-Linn, who were recognized for their contributions to the program.

Madison Henderson led the Hawks offensively with 12 kills, adding two solo blocks and one block assist. Jada Caruthers followed with 11 kills, adding four digs, and two blocks, while Alexa Fricker and Alauna Wilson-Linn contributed eight kills apiece. Fricker added six digs and a solo block with Wilson-Linn adding three digs and a block assist.
Anna Holcombe paced the defensive effort with 32 digs and added three assists. Andrea Krgovic directed the offense with 40 assists while recording 11 digs and two kills. Malyshia Bailey contributed 11 digs and two service aces.

Chowan closes out the regular season on the road against Barton College on Tuesday, November 3. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Wilson, N.C.
