The Hawks struck early, finding the back of the net three times in the first half. Riley Donnelly opened the scoring at the 12:40 mark off an assist from Lily Harrison, who finished the night with four shots, including two on target. Just minutes later, at 17:10, Donnelly returned the favor, heading the ball to Jayda Dubeck for Chowan's second goal and her first of the season. Dubeck added four shots of her own, with three on target. Adriana Lightfoot capped off the half with the first goal of her career — and Chowan's third of the evening — in the 43rd minute off an assist from Amy Cotton. Both Lightfoot and Cotton also added an additional shot to their totals.
The offensive momentum carried into the second half as Laura Hulme wasted little time, scoring in the 52nd minute to give Chowan its fourth goal of the evening. Abigail Simon proved to be a constant threat throughout the match, registering five shots, three on goal. Dakota Tivnan also contributed with a shot on target.
Defensively, the Hawks held firm to secure the shut out. Kylee Smith recorded a season-high eight saves, shutting down Mount Olive's attack before giving way to Lauren James, who added a save of her own to close out the match. Destiny Makanjuola and Maya Schofield anchored the back line, playing the full 90 minutes and disrupting numerous Trojan opportunities. Leeya Harrison also made key defensive contributions, helping the Hawks regain possession and maintain control.
