GREENWOOD, S.C. – Chowan Volleyball ended day two at the Redderson invitational on Saturday afternoon dropping both of their matches of the day. The Hawks battled it out with Young Harris University in their opening match, but fell 3-1. After taking the first set of the match 25-16 against Saint Anselm in the second match of the day, they ended up dropping their final three sets to fall 3-1. Saturday's match losses take the Hawks to 1-7 overall.

The Hawks battled against Young Harris University in a four-set thriller but eventually fell 3-1. Anna Holcombe led the team with 11 kills while Alauna Wilson-Linn tallied 10 kills. Madison Henderson had a team-high six blocks while Alexandra Liggeri set up 20 assists. Brooke Hart had 27 digs and Diana Rodriquez had 26 digs.
Chowan fell in their final match of the day 3-1. After beating Saint Anselm in the first set 25-16, the Hawks dropped their next three sets. Madison Kilgore and Jy'Asha Cousins led the team with nine kills each. Rosa Lynn Collier had eight kills in the match while teammate Liggeri had a team-high 19 assists. Hart had 18 assists and Jadyn Brown had a team-high 14 digs.

The Hawks return to action on Tuesday in their home season opener against the University of Mount Olive. Match time is set for 6:00pm at the Hawks Athletic Center.
