BELMONT, N.C. – The Chowan University men's lacrosse team fell to Belmont Abbey on the road Saturday afternoon in a Conference Carolinas matchup.

The Hawks stayed sharp between the lines, going 20-for-24 on clears. They scrapped for 29 ground balls and came away with 11 face-off wins.
Reed Low led the charge for the Hawks' offense, netting a hat trick to pace the attack. Michael Litchfield and Jacob Malia each found the back of the net, with Malia also adding an assist. Seth Mackenzie added to the offensive effort with a pair of assists. On the defensive end, Reagan Corley and Isaiah Gill disrupted the opposition with two caused turnovers apiece.
Rocco Smith played the full 60 minutes in goal and finished with 11 saves for the Hawks.
