BELMONT, N.C. – The Chowan University baseball team fell to the Crusaders in a road Conference Carolinas doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.

In game one, the Hawks recorded five hits, led by Caleb Karie, who went 2-for-2 with a run scored. Noah Simpson, Christopher Rumaldo, Ryan Bellamy, and Geomar Santana each added a hit to the tally.
Angel Diaz went the distance for the Hawks, pitching six innings while allowing six hits and striking out four.
In game two, Jackson Dunlap led the Hawks at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs, while Elvis Rumaldo contributed a 2-for-4 performance with two runs scored and two RBIs.
Josh Wise got the start on the mound, pitching four innings. Dylan Nickle followed in relief for two innings, while Teray Cherry closed out the game, taking the loss and dropping to 1-1 on the season.
