MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University women's lacrosse team was defeated by the Meredith College Avenging Angels in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hawks successfully completed five clears and collected 12 ground balls in the matchup.
Blake Tutman and Gracie Timken each scored a goal for the Hawks. Ava Thorpe collected three ground balls, while Timken grabbed two. On defense, MarDawn Rawls, Timken, and Elizabeth Heller each caused a turnover.
Kezia Ramos played the full 60 minutes in goal for the Hawks, recording 12 saves.
