MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan University women's lacrosse team fell 23-3 to Belmont Abbey College in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks fall to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in league play while the Crusaders improve to 6-4 overall and 4-0 in league play.

The Crusaders out shot the Hawks 39-6 in the match with 36 shots on frame. Chowan was 10-17 on clear attempts in the game.
Kezia Ramos collected 13 saves in goal for the Hawks.

The Hawks will continue with Conference Carolinas play wtih a road trip to the University of Mount Olive on March 26th. First draw is set for 4:00pm. The Hawks will return home on Saturday, March 29th with a 12pm match against North Greenville University.
