MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University women's lacrosse team suffered a 21-14 loss to the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans in a non-conference matchup at Hawks Field on Thursday afternoon.

The Hawks recorded 31 total shots, with 26 of them being on target. Chowan successfully completed 11 of their 18 clear attempts and collected 17 ground balls, edging out the Spartans, who grabbed up 16 ground balls.
The Hawks' offense was led by Victoria Brown, who scored four goals on 10 shots, with eight of those shots on target. Blake Tutman contributed three goals, four assists, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers. Sarai Sanders scored three goals on seven shots, all of which were on goal. Senior Abbie Sutton caused five turnovers for the Hawks.
In goal for the Hawks, Kezia Ramos played the full 60 minutes, allowing 21 goals and making 16 saves.
