MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University women's basketball team was defeated by the Barton Bulldogs in a road conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon.

Nyeisha Savage led the Hawks with a double-double, totaling 12 rebounds and 11 points. Alexandria James-Fearon contributed nine points and six rebounds, while senior Meara Carter grabbed 11 rebounds. Yasmine Brown added six points, eight rebounds, and two steals on the afternoon.
