MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University men's basketball team marked senior day with a strong victory against the Southern Wesleyan Warriors.
Keith Reese Jr., Aaron Ross, Cheick Traore, RJ Wilson, and Daylan Askew were also honored during Saturday's senior day celebration. Jaylyn Pooler from the CU developmental basketball program was recognized for his dedication as the program's third four-year starter.

The Hawks seniors combined for 53 points in the win. CU scored 44 points in the paint, tallied eight second-chance points, and added nine points off turnovers. The game was a back-and-forth towards the beginning, featuring nine lead changes and one tie.
Senior Aaron Ross set a new career-high with 26 points, surpassing his previous best of 22 points against Erskine on February 1st. Damerius Summers recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while senior Cheick Traore set a career-high in blocks, registering five, and also pulled down 11 rebounds in his final home game.
