MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The CU men's basketball team was defeated by the UNC Pembroke Braves in a road Conference Carolinas matchup.

The Hawks got strong production from their bench, contributing 32 points. They also controlled the paint with 36 points. CU capitalized on turnovers for 14 points and shot 72.4% from the free throw line.

Daylan Askew led the Hawks in scoring with 19 points, while also grabbing six rebounds. Damerius Summers contributed 11 points and five rebounds, and Keith Reese Jr. added 10 points along with four rebounds.
