FLORENCE, S.C. – The Chowan University volleyball team came up short in three straight sets on Saturday afternoon against Francis Marion University. The Hawks were unable to gain momentum in the match, falling to the Patriots in league court action.

Madison Henderson continued her aggressive play from the middle with a team-high six kills and three blocks. Madison Kilgore contributed three kills and Makeda Edwards had two kills in the match. Diana Rodriguez dug up 16 balls from the back row to add to her season dig total. She now sits at 549 season digs, second best in all-time season history. Earlier this season Rodriguez became the program's all-time dig leader and currently she ranks second in all of NCAA D2 in digs per match with 5.92.
