MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2025-2026 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.

For the week of November 5 – November 12, Dimitrije Markovic of the men's swim team and Jack Beylo of the team team, have been recognized for their standout performances over the past week of competition.

Dimitrije Markovic | Junior | Men's Swimming | Krusevac, Serbia

Dimitrije Markovic of the men's swim team had an outstanding performance in the meet against Barton. He secured victories in all of his individual events which included the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle, and the 200 freestyle relay. In both individual events he finished 14 seconds ahead of the nearest competitor, while in the relay he swam the third leg to help secure first place. Markovic was also awarded Conference Carolinas Men's Swimmer of the Week for his performance in the pool.

Jack Beylo | Freshman | Football | Kicker/Punter | Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

Jack Beylo was a perfect 3-3 in field goals attempted and converted on all of his extra point attempts in last week's double overtime game against Ferrum. For his efforts, he was also awarded the Conference Carolinas Special Teams player of the Week for the second time this season.
