Hawks End Season With a Bang in Senior Night Match Against Panthers

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University volleyball team closed out the 2025 season on a high note, earning a 3-1 victory over Ferrum College on Senior Night. Prior to the match, seniors Diana Rodriguez, Jadyn Brown, Lyniah Lee, and Nia Baskin were honored for their outstanding contributions and dedication to the Chowan volleyball program throughout their careers. With the win, the Hawks concluded the season with an overall record of 6-22 and a 5-15 mark in Conference Carolinas play.

Madison Henderson had an outstanding night, leading the Hawks offense with a season-high 14 kills. Lyniah Lee also made her presence felt on Bob Burke Court, recording a season-best 12 kills. Anna Holcombe added nine kills, while Nia Baskin, Jadyn Brown, and Jy'Asha Cousins contributed four apiece. Brooke Hart and Alexandra Liggeri set the tempo for the offense, dishing out 24 and 16 assists, respectively. The Hawks kept the Panthers on their heels from the service line, tallying 14 service aces—led by Brown with five, followed by Henderson with four and Baskin with three.

Defensively, Chowan registered 59 digs, with Brown anchoring the effort with 19. Diana Rodriguez added 14 digs, while Holcombe and Hart recorded 10 and eight, respectively. Henderson continued her all-around performance, pacing the team with five blocks. Lee and Baskin each added two, with Holcombe and Cousins contributing one apiece.
