WILSON, N.C. – The Chowan University women's soccer team caged the Barton Bulldogs in a tight 1-0 victory on Tuesday evening. After a scoreless first half, Lily Harrison found the back of the net in the second, giving the Hawks the game-winning goal. With Tuesday's win, Chowan improves to 4-4-1 overall and 4-2-1 in conference play, while Barton falls to 3-6-0 overall and 2-4-0 in league action.

The Hawks combined for 11 shots on the night, including three on goal. At the 54:04 mark, Lily Harrison found the back of the net, scoring the game-winning goal and giving Chowan the upper hand. Laura Hume added three shots, followed by Addisen Palmer with two and Adriana Lightfoot with one. Abigail Simon and Riley Donnelly each contributed two shots, including one on goal, keeping the Hawks aggressive on the offensive end.
In goal, Kylee Smith delivered a standout performance, recording a season-high 10 saves. Chowan's defense as a unit held strong, turning away Barton's 18 shots and securing the shutout victory.
